Elysia - Glass urn - Sphere - Indigo line

An elegant, handcrafted glass cremation urn, distinguished by its spherical form and unique arrangement of deep navy-blue bands. Light, milky-silver glass intertwines with dark blue lines and delicate graphite and brown speckles, creating a dimensional pattern reminiscent of freely flowing paths. Each urn has its own arrangement of colors and details, making no two pieces exactly alike.

The image is for illustrative purposes only. Due to the entirely handcrafted nature of the product, each urn is a unique work of art. Subtle variations in the arrangement of the pattern and nuanced color differences mean that the final appearance of the urn may differ slightly from the photograph shown, which is an expression of its distinctive character. The stated weight of the urn is approximate. As each urn is an individual handcrafted glass piece, natural variations in weight may occur between items of the same capacity.

Opis

A Harmonious Form with Symbolic Meaning

The spherical shape of the urn conveys a natural sense of harmony. A circle has no beginning or end and has long symbolized continuity, infinity, and the cycle of life. In this form, one may also find an image of wholeness and completeness, reflecting a human life together with all its experiences, relationships, and memories.

The simple, uncluttered form allows the glass and its remarkable structure to take center stage. It is the interplay of color and its organic arrangement that gives the urn its individual character.

Deep Blue and Luminous Glass

The most striking element of the composition is the series of intense, deep blue bands. They do not form regular circles or follow a uniform pattern. Instead, they move across the surface in different directions, sometimes joining together and at other points leaving larger areas of light-colored glass between them.

Their color ranges from deep navy to vivid cobalt blue. Where the glass is thinner or the light reaches it from a different angle, the blue becomes lighter and more luminous.

The foundation of the composition is a light, milky glass with a subtle silvery quality. Its surface is not completely uniform. Delicate tonal variations and tiny dark particles give the glass additional depth.

In some areas, denser clusters of graphite and warm brown speckles appear. They contrast with the pale glass and intense blue, creating a natural, organic effect rather than a regular decorative pattern.

The Symbolism of Deep Blue

Deep blue is traditionally associated with tranquility, vastness, and infinity. It evokes the depth of water and the night sky, making it a natural symbol of silence, reflection, and something beyond the boundaries of everyday life.

Here, blue does not cover the entire surface. It moves through the lighter glass, remaining in constant dialogue with it. This can be interpreted as a symbol of a presence that does not simply disappear, but remains part of something greater.

The dark bands may also bring to mind paths or journeys running through a human life. They do not follow a predetermined pattern, just as no two lives can ever be described by the same path.

Light, Color, and Individuality

The light-colored glass responds beautifully to its surroundings. Depending on the light, different areas may appear more transparent, milky, or silvery, while the blue bands shift in intensity.

The delicate graphite and brown accents further enhance the depth of the composition. They are not dominant, but appear between the larger areas of color, giving the overall design a more organic character.

Every Urn Has Its Own Pattern

Handcrafted production means that the arrangement of the glass and colors is never completely repeatable. The flow of the blue bands, the placement of the lighter areas, and the distribution of the tiny dark accents create a different composition each time.

Similar urns may belong to the same artistic style, but no two will ever be exactly alike. Each piece has its own rhythm of lines, its own balance of colors, and its own way of allowing light to pass through the glass.

It is a distinctive form of farewell, in which glass, color, and light come together to create an object of deeply personal character, intended to hold the cremated remains of someone whose presence remains an enduring part of the story of those closest to them.
